por Shellie Bonetti (10/04/2024)

Brittney Saunders and her fellow influencer pal Matt Hey (aka Alright Hey) have shared what they believe is more awkward than a dating app hookup gone wrong.

The pair, who co-host the High Scrollers podcast, believe that buying products on Facebook Marketplace is as embarrassing as a planned casual sex.

'Buying s**t on Facebook Marketplace is the most awkward thing I've ever experienced,' Brittany, 31, said.

Matt agreed, adding: 'No, seriously. As a gay person, it felt like a Grindr hookup.'

Brittany, who is a millionaire CEO and entrepreneur, shared her concern about purchasing something from the social media site, which often involved travelling to the seller's house to collect the item.

'What if you go and it's not what you hoped for? And you're in that person's front yard and they've got their...' she trailed, before Matt cut her off.

'Front yard? I was in her house!' he recalled. 'I was in her kitchen! I was like, "there's no backing out now, I'm patting the dog."'

The podcast duo agreed it would be 'awkward' to be welcomed into someone's home and the item you want isn't quite right.

'I would pay double and run,' Matt said while Brittany laughed.

In the comments, several fans and followers shared their Marketplace horror stories.
