Abstract

This article makes a brief reflection on the meaning of the word art. It considers art as “intuition” that allows the perception of knowing how to make “poiesis” –which is present at the accurate moment of the creation and execution of the masterpiece. Thus, with this meaning of intuition, what it is produced, while psychic reality are symbolic images that serve as a mediating function between reality and its representation. This symbolic dimension is extended by the studies of the imaginary reaching the “mythocritic”. This allows to recognize the myth that guides the masterpiece. From then on, the reflection on education that is based on the symbolic dimension is a step that makes it possible to understand education as “a transgressive” act of “re”-symbolization and initiation.
