GEOGRAPHER EDUCATOR: THE CHALLENGE FROM THE FORMATION ABIDING

Abstract

This article approaches the reflection on the challenge of the process of formation of geographers educators, comment called geography professors, having as reference the region metropolitan of São Paulo. In this process the historical origins of the education of geography in Brazil and the paper of the facultieses of geography in this context are rescued, as well as point, of critical form, celeumas academics between bacharelato and licenciatura, demonstrating itself the differences and similarities of these two qualifications with respect to the professional geographer while of geography. From the paper of the geographer in the Education, a critical perspective is analyzed dialectic and is indicated there it importance of new methodologies for the geography education, as well as it points the reflection necessity on ethics in the process of formation of the geographer educator and its paper politician in the democratization of geographic knowing through the education of geography in the basic education. It is concluded signaling for a reflection regarding a geoética or ethics for Land as bedding for the defense and fights for an ambiently sustainable planet.
