Abstract

With the development of the modern science in the centuries XVI and XVII and the rise ascent of the paradigm reductionist / mechanistic, a long removal has beginning between man and environment, which it will infl uence from the experimental and scientifi c investigation, to the education and to the values of the western society. If, on the one hand, to the expansion of the “lights” had a tremendous advance technological, for other, had a vast contribution in the current social and ecological confl icts that threaten the quality of human, animal and vegetable life, in this and in future generations. The growing globalization and the challenges in the fi eld partner-politician, moral and environmental have been driving a deep questioning of the reductionist practices, allowing the emergence of more holistic and integrate approaches in the education and in the science, opening ways to a new paradigm dimension of epistemological , cultural-ethical consequences and, above all, ecological.
