Abstract

This work has as proposal the use of the art as facilitative middle of contact and communication with people carriers of mental defi ciencies. This research was developed by means of encounters with a group of children, adolescents and adults with the following pathologies: Autism and Syndrome of Down. The drawing was the vehicle adapted for the observation of the development of the graphic representations, as well as of the cognitive development during the process. This to show that through the art is possible to create a communication link and to guide parents and volunteers to move and to review its patterns of behavior; to propose by means of the art the sensibility development and of the intellectual abilities and psicomotoras, recuperating made sleepy potentialities of the carriers of these studied defi ciencies, accomplishing like this an inclusion process.
