Abstract

The proposal of this work is to stimulate the study and the investigation of the Contemporary Art, to understand its mechanism and present it as a new and different possibility for the teaching of arts at schools. Inspired in the work of the Danish plastic artist Anna Marie Holm, it also discuss the hole of the art educator in the forming of knowledge and its contribution on the formation of a creative, critic, active individual, aware of its hole and space in society. Texts and authors that discuss thems as Contemporary Art, educative practices, art teaching, building of knowledge and creative process have been searched, setting a connection between its mains ideas, wanting to show the need of an art teaching which promotes, in fact, building of a knowledge in concrete way. Authors as Ana Mae Barbosa, Paulo Freire, Rubem Alves, Fernando Cocchiaralle, Fayga Ostrower and José Ortega Y Gasset, among others, inspire the opinions registered in this article.
