Abstract

This study, based on qualitative exploratory research bibliography, tried to identify and understand, under the light of Ethnomathematics, the arithmetic modus operandi applied on the day-today life of homeless boys and girls as well as on their labor activities. This work tries to establish a parallel between the formal scholar teaching of mathematics and its practice as shown by homeless children performing activities at traffi c lights – myth for one and reality for the other.
