WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR THE MONITORING OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH OF NATAL CITY - RN
Abstract
It is estimated that 42 million m3 of sewer are launched in the hydro system of Natal per year, where 70% of the removed water supplies the city and only 17% sanitation. The direct consequence of this process is the generalized pollution of the water-bearing system. Hence the received sewer is much bigger than the recharge of the high quality of the pluvial water. Another consequence is the proliferation of illnesses of hydro propagation. Therefore, this work aims to demonstrate the application of a Geographic Information System, functioning as a tool of support for the generation of a Water Management System, which integrates the action of the programs of monitoring of both the quality of the water and the public health. Thus, the information have been satisfactory analyzed in the geographic space, becoming a viable alternative for surveys involving events of this type. The elaboration of a Waters Management System identified the different sources of pollution that influence the quality of superficial and underground waters. In addition, the management of the relational and special of the hydro propagation of illnesses could be achieved.Downloads
