Abstract

The use of cyanoacrylate-based tissue adhesives as an alternative to sutures has aroused great interest among surgeons due to the producing quality tissue adhesion in a reduced period of time, and in addition, due to the hemostatic and bacteriostatic properties of this material. In this context, the present literature review discusses the properties of different tissue adhesives available and used in dentistry for tissue synthesis.
