Abstract

Spirulina platensis is a very interesting microalgium, for the health area, due to its constitution in essentials and no essentials aminoacids, fat acids, insaponifiables , carotenoids, minerals, oligoelements and vitamins such as biotin, cianocobalamin, folic acid, inositol, niacin, calcium pantotenate, riboflavin, tiamin, tocoferol, and so on. This work objective was the algium production under natural conditions of temperature and insolation, in alternative biorreactors (plastic bags) with nominal 3L volume and 1L volume of the standard mineral culture medium. Inoculum concentration varied from 2.5 til 5 %. Fermentative process was done in a horizontal agitator at 125 rpm, 20 days. The biomass separated by filtration, was dried at 37 oC. From the temperature-insolation rates studied, the best protein production (2.98 g.L -1) was at 24.47ºC and 140 h insolation. The worst protein result was 1.01 g.L -1 protein at 17.26ºC and 112 h insolation.
