Keywords:

Microabrasion is an efficient method for removing superficial stains from dental enamel by means of abrasion associated with chemical erosion of the stained enamel, as there are few products on the market, capable of performing this procedure. This is a clinical case report of a 26 year-old adult patient, who was concerned about esthetics and sought dental treatment. The patient reported that as a child, he/she suffered a trauma to primary tooth 61, corresponding to permanent tooth 21, which had a whitened hypoplastic stain. A 12% hydrochloric acid-based product with abrasive particles in a gel was used for the effective removal of the stained enamel, and the patient showed satisfaction with the result on conclusion of the treatment.Downloads
