THE ETNOMATHEMATICS DIMENSIONS IN THE CONCEPT OF SPATIALITY:A STUDY FOR THE FIRST GRADE OF PRIMARY SCHOOL.
Abstract
This paper presents theoretical support and suggestions of geometry activities for the first grade of primary education. This research is based on the theory of Etnomathematic described by DAmbrosio (2002). He believes that students preirous knowledge acquired in their social and cultural context should be considered by the teacher because this would make learning geometry easier. Authors such as Lorenzato (1995) and Orey & Rosa (2004) are also taken into consideration for the purpose of this research paper.Downloads
